Maria Octavia Russo was born in Caracas in 1991, she studied philosophy at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and Plastic Arts at UNEARTE. She then works in a veterinary clinic as an assistant and her work is deeply influenced by this experience. Thus, finding common places among her diverse experiences, she discovers the history of medicine and alchemy, from where she gets many of her images and symbols. Her work blends between traditional and digital media, combining the best of both worlds. In this way, she considers herself a Tradigital artist.
She moved to Córdoba, Argentina, to continue her studies in the arts and currently works as a publishing illustrator.
