Maria Teresa Medina

I was born in Caracas in 1996. I studied photography at La ONG and have taken several courses in illustration and writing.

My work is inspired by everything I consume: photographs, books, films. I talk about myself and make fun of the things that concern me like the precepts of beauty, madness, death. I love kitsch and camp aesthetics and I use them to enhance my message. I use different media such as photography, illustration, animation and writing to say the same thing, but I prefer digital media because it allows me to build the work quickly and create a false and exaggerated atmospheres, like in a theater representing reality.
