Verónica Alvarado

Born in 1989.

In 2007 she graduated as a Medium Technician of Visual Arts – in Pure Art, at the Escuela Técnica de Artes Visuales Cristóbal Rojas. She enters the University Institute of Plastic Arts Armando Reverón in 2008, the institute is absorbed by the government macro-project UNEARTE so that is where she ends her studies in 2013, obtaining the Bachelor of Arts – in Mixed Media, being part of the last cohort with a Reveronian pensum.

Since 2010 she participates in various group exhibitions and art shows. In 2012 her work is exhibited in an individual exhibition in the Nelson Garrido Organization’s spaces Cuento Tres and Llevo Tres, and in 2013 she receives the Honorable Mention in Drawing in the 38th Juan Lovera Hall for the work Fugientes – Abdicantes.

She finds in illustration the perfect mediator to confront the little she has of her inner world with the much she absorbs from the outside.
