Malwine Stauss is an artist and illustrator living and working in Leipzig, Germany.
Her work deals with topics as female representation, solidarity and human connections. Self-determined female characters play an important role in her work. Her pictures tell stories of women as artists, the connection between people and nature as well as supernatural, magical phenomena. In her watercolor and gouache paintings she combines figurative and abstract elements, her paintings are delicate and strong.
Malwine Stauss works on single paintings, series of paintings and books.
Her book “The Trip” was published by Colorama Berlin in March 2020, her book “Hexen” (“witches”) will be published by the German publishing house Rotopol in spring 2021.
