Created in Buenos Aires at the end of 2004, the Cooperativa Sub is a photography collective and a platform for projects related to the image; on the one hand, it works on the creation of a collective identity and the realization of visual essays that are disseminated through the national and international press, exhibitions, curatorships and screenings all over the world; it has also been carrying out for 7 years the Plataforma Educativa, a space for visual training anchored in the narrative and the critical gaze that presents different proposals such as national and international workshops, federal workshops, annual visual narrative workshops and a biannual program of photographic production and research.

In 2016 with the release of their first photobook “December” about the crisis of 2001, they began to explore the editorial path together with Sub Editora the third leg of the project with which they also published the books: “Qhapaq Ñan” with the musician Gustavo Santaolalla and “Oscurana” with photographs by Antoine D’Agata.They received several awards like 1st place award of the Biennale of Art of Cuenca, Ecuador 2010, 1st place award Picture of the Year (LATAM) 2011 and 2012. They were part of the exhibition “Here we are” Latin American Photography 2000-2015 at the CCK and the exhibition “Continuity and contradiction” Argentine Photography 1850-2010 at J.P. Getty in LA, USA among others.
